It's dizzying to realize that we're already on the way to another awards year with the announcement of nominees for the 2010 Premio Lo Nuestro awards. These awards are determined by the online voting audience, although this year for the first time the nominees have been compiled by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, the organization that keeps track of record sales numbers.
This year there are also two new categories as part of the line-up; these are 'Entertainer of the Year' and 'Collaboration of the Year' and when you check the nominees, you'll see that if you follow Latin music, there are no new surprises there. Aventura leads the nominations with seven nods while Wisin y Yandel are close behind them with five. You can make the difference by going to the Univision website and voting for your favorites.
The 2010 Premio Lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina Awards show will be telecast live on February 18, 2010 at 8 pm from Miami's American Airlines Arena. You can catch the show on Univision.
